ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Lolo Angela Ihuoma Amuchie, mother of Sundiata Post CEO, Dr. Max Amuchie has passed on.
Aged 87, Lolo Amuchie, matriarch of the Amuchie Akwaranwa dynasty in Umuchokoeze, Amaisii, Uvuru Mbaise, Imo State, died on Sunday, March 9 in Aba, Abia State surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Lolo Amuchie’s death came at a time the Amuchie Akwaranwa dynasty are preparing for the burial of their patriarch, High Chief Emmanuel Ikonne Amuchie, slated for April 29 and 30.

Announcing his mother’s death on Facebook on Monday, 10th March, Amuchie said:
“‘It doesn’t rain, it pours’ is an expression we often heard growing up. Yesterday it flashed through my mind. We have been planning and preparing for the burial of our father, High Chief Emmanuel Ikonne Amuchie, Ugo Eji Ejemba I of Uvuru, Mbaise, Imo State. He had a year-long battle with cancer of the larynx. His burial has been fixed for April 29 and 30.
“Then yesterday, our mother, Lolo Angela Ihuoma Amuchie, who had been sick since 2022, slept eternally, surrounded by her loved ones in my elder sister’s house in Aba, Abia State.
“I went for evening service yesterday and while in church I was wiping away tears from my eyes. I never imagined that my father and my mother will be in mortuary at the same time. All the efforts we made in the last three years to keep them alive came to nothing. This is really tough for us as a family.
“For me it is not all grief. It is more of gratitude for the kind of parents we had. Whatever I am today is because of the lessons my parents taught me and the love and care I got from them. My siblings and I were all nurtured in love and taught to appreciate whatever we have and be mindful of what we do and how we behave in order not to tarnish the family name.
“May God receive both of them in His paradise.”
The Sundiata Post CEO said burial arrangement would be announced later by the family.
