ABUJA – The Super Falcons on Saturday continued their build-up for the 2014 African Women Championship (AWC) qualifier against Rwanda with a 2-2 draw against Young Dikko International Soccer Academy in Abuja.

The national senior women football team started on a good note but missed three scoring chances in quick succession as Asisat Oshoala and Kafayat Ajani failed to convert.

Ngozi Okobi however broke the deadlock in the 5th minute when Oshoala dribbled past the Academy’s defenders and put her through to tap the ball into the net.

The Young Dikko side drew level in the 11th minute after a shot from the left flank, and they went ahead in the 87th minute.

But the Falcons equalised in the 90th minute when Oshoala was brought down in the penalty area and Ngozi Ebere slotted in the penalty kick to make it 2-2.

The test match was played at the FIFA Goal Project pitch of the Abuja National Stadium.(NAN)
