Lagos – SuperSport, a pay per view television on Thursday confirmed that it would televise the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying games.
A statement released by the company in Lagos on Thursday said It had acquired the rights to eight matches including that of Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Zambia in the second phase fixtures.
It said `the World of Champions’ as the Tv brands itself, would broadcast Group H’s top-of-the-table clash between Rwanda and Ghana; Tanzania VsNigeria; Mauritania Vs South Africa.

In addition to that would be those involving, Mauritius Vs Mozambique; Madagascar Vs Angola; Zimbabwe Vs Guinea; Kenya Vs Zambia and Gambia Vs Cameroon would also be televised in the day two qualification fixtures.
According to it, only 13 group winners will qualify for the 2017 AFCON and just two overall runners up.
It added that every round was important to nations that opened their initial campaign with a defeat. (NAN)
