The 34-year-old Algerian man, named only as Farid A. in keeping with German privacy laws, used his own and three other names, while his 27-year-old wife used one name aside from her own.
The alleged members of Islamic State (IS) posed as refugees travelling along the Western Balkan route with their two infant children.
It would be recalled that IS in 2015 threaten to flood Europe with its militants under the guise of refugees seeking asylum.
The threat was carried out in November as one of the suicide bombers in the Paris attack was allowed into the EU after joining other migrants from Iraq and Syria (dpa/NAN)
