Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Suspected hoodlums early Wednesday morning burnt down Senator Dino Melaye’s constituency project due to be commissioned on Wednesday (Today).
The constituency projects burnt down includes; Government Girls Secondary School, Sarkin-Noma, in Lokoja; and LGEA Primary School, Lokogoma, also in Lokoja, Kogi State capital, while the project at Sarkin-Noma was burnt, that of LGEA had its louvers broken.
Both projects were part of the projects located across the seven local governments in the state and had been slated for inauguration on Wednesday July 18.
Senator Dino Melaye was said to be on his way to the inauguration when the news was broken to him and he was said to have been disappointed.
He was also quoted to have vowed to still go ahead with the inauguration.
It was gathered that the suspected hoodlums set fire on the block of classroom, totally razing one classroom to the ground.
The suspected thugs had on Tuesday warned the Kogi senator against visiting Kogi State, warning that he was not welcome for any reason.
The thugs who made this known in an unsigned statement, also said that since Dino had no respect for “our elders, he deserves no respects.
