ABUJA (Sundiata Post) Tinubu did NOT say Osun State was poor. No. He only said they didn’t have enough for him to take. (I don’t want to use the word “steal”). He even said if the Oyetola guy wanted ‘good money’, he would have stayed back in Lagos.
It was a like a corporate prostitute (and you know they are many) who, after assessing a prospective ‘client’, tells him to his face: ” You cannot afford me. Go and look for your own ‘sawawu'”.
It does not mean the prospective client is poor. Only that he is not on same level with our lady.
Having said this, there are some take-aways from Tinubu’s terrible slip.
* It gives an insight into what some of our political leaders say in private since Tinubu never knew he was being recorded.
* A clear admission by Tinubu that he makes money from Lagos and that Osun does not have the kind of cash he needs and takes.
* Politics in Nigeria remains very lucrative.
* Lagos remains the cash cow of Southwest politics since Tinubu said Oyetola could have stayed back in Lagos to “make money”.
May God heal His land….
