Abuja – The combination of modern technology with traditional methods of teaching will maximise teaching and learning experience in the country, an educationist reveals.
The Project Manager of the Nigeria-Korea Model School Abuja, Dr Jay Pyeon, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that good governance would also assist in achieving this experience.
“Technology mixed with the traditional methods in terms of homegrown teaching and learning. It should be homegrown.
‘’Nigerian way of teaching and learning, combined with the multimedia, that is what I am thinking. It should be sustainable.
‘’Good governance is a key issue in Nigeria. We will ensure that every teacher understands that good governance should be a key factor for the success (of the combination).”
Pyeon said that teachers for the proposed Nigeria-Korea Model School, Abuja would be trained on the principle of good governance.
He said that schools in Nigerian needs to venture more into the study of arts, adding that many schools do not teach music.
