Lagos – The Executive Director, Connect Marketing and Convener of ‘Techplus’ an ICT event, Mr Kazeem Abimbola, on Monday said that the event would project Africa’s technological innovations.
Abimbola stated this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
The statement said that the event would advance both human and social developments of the country.
The statement said that in its second year, “Techplus’’ was a gathering of everything technology, providing a robust tripartite technology experience, through its conference, exhibition and gaming structures.

It said that the event would serve as a platform for knowledge sharing, networking and market place for consumers and businesses.
“Techplus Conference and Expo is a place where new technology comes to life; new products are launched and innovations converge.
“It provides manufacturers, concept generators, software and hardware companies, content developers, a platform to bring their products and services to life.
“The event is primed as the main platform for innovations and new products to be introduced to consumers and businesses.
“Techplus 2016 event will capture emerging realities of global technological revolutions and how Nigeria can benefit from such, the statement said.
It explained that this year, the organisers would showcase more of Africa’s technological innovations that would advance both the human and social developments of the country.
“Ultimately, this will yield value for both customers and businesses.
“This year, the event will include a Hackathon and a Pitch Event,” the statement quoted Abimbola as saying.
According to the statement, Techplus 2016 is billed to hold from July 21 to July 23 and the theme is “A Connected World’’.
The statement said that Techplus 2015 convened over 6,000 techy and non-techy participants with 30 other speakers and panelists.
NAN reports that the maiden edition of the event also witnessed the display of hi-tech innovations and gaming solutions, recording over 1,096 gamers. (NAN)
