- Never ever date or marry someone you are not attracted to or are no longer attracted to
- Never ever pursue someone who is on the rebound
- Never ever get romantically and/or sexually involved with someone who is married or in a committed relationship
- Do not tell a current dating partner the sexual and intimate details of your past relationships
- Avoid introducing old dating partners to new ones if it is absolutely not necessary and can be avoided
- Immediately cut off and walk away from anyone who hides or lies about being married, engaged, or involved with someone else
- Do not date friends’ ex’s
- Do not talk about your dating partner negatively to friends and family if you plan on staying together
- Do not have sex with someone who won’t commit if you are looking for a commitment from that person
- Never date anyone who insults you, puts you down, or in any way demeans or denigrates you
- Never date someone just because you are bored and lonely
- Distance yourself from anyone who has a romantic or sexual agenda if you only want platonic friendship with that person
- Don’t date anyone who runs hot and cold or whom you have to convince to date you
- Never rebound or use someone to get over someone else if you really aren’t genuinely interested in the new person.
