Theatre commander motivates soldiers at North-East frontline, assures them of Yahaya’s promise of reward for gallantry

The (TC) Joint Task Force East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), -General Christopher Musa, has commenced a two-day familiarisation and operational visit to in the frontlines, as well as units and formations in the Theatre of OPHK.

Gen Musa kicked the visit in 7 Division Garrison and units under command to acquaint himself with the locations, assess ’ deployment, as well as the efforts employed to counter Boko Terrorists (BHTs) and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) collaborators.

The TC also visited Headquarters, 27 Task Force Brigade Gari, where he evaluated the operational readiness of the Brigade and units under it.

Gen Musa was received arrival at Yadi by Commander Sector 2, Brigadier General Adamu Nura, Commander 27 Task Force Brigade (Bde), Brigadier General Bemgba Koughna and the Deputy Commandant Nigerian Forces School, Brigadier General Warrah Idris, before proceeding to the Brigade location in Gari, where he addressed of the Brigade and members of the vigilante group deployed in the area.

During his address, the conveyed the commendation and appreciation of the of Staff, Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya to the troops for commitment in the fight against and . He assured them of COAS’ determination to provide adequate support and logistics to execute the war.

He also charged the troops to remain focused and dedicated in the fight, assuring them of COAS’ pledge to reward acts of gallantry. He urged them to remain disciplined and maintain the tempo of the operations.

The was accompanied the visit by Commander 7 Division Garrison, Brigadier General Abubakar Haruna, Theatre Civil/Military Coordinator, Navy Captain Sunday Ayuba and other Principal Staff Officers in the Theatre.
