Tinubu, APC governors meet over nationwide protest

ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Governors from the All Progressives Congress, under the aegis of the Progressives Governors Forum, are currently in a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
The meeting reportedly started in the afternoon amid calls for aggrieved youths to shelve the looming demonstration.
While the agenda of Thursday’s meeting was not officially revealed as of press time, it may not be unconnected to the protest scheduled to begin on August 1, 2024.
The convergence comes on the heels of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum on Wednesday night and comes after a last-minute cancellation of the National Economic Council meeting earlier scheduled for noon Thursday.
According to Punch, those seen were the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, Ministers of Finance and Budget & Economic Planning, Wale Edun and Abubakar Bagudu, respectively.
