Tinubu awards CFR national honour to Ex-Kaduna military governor

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has awarded the national honour of Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) to Colonel Abubakar Dangiwa (retd.), a former military governor of Kaduna State.
According to Naija News, Tinubu made the announcement on Thursday during a one-day working visit to Kaduna State.
“Let me use this opportunity to correct an omission,” the President said.
“Some of the people I missed in my June 12 broadcast is Colonel Dangiwa. Let me honour him with CFR.”
Colonel Abubakar Dangiwa served as the military governor of Kaduna State from August 1985 to June 1988, under the regime of former military President, General Ibrahim Babangida.
After retiring from the Nigerian Army in 1993, Dangiwa became known for openly expressing his views on national issues. He later established a political movement called the Movement for Unity and Progress.
This CFR award adds to the growing number of national recognitions announced by the Tinubu-led administration.
