ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – President Bola Tinubu has cut delegations accompanying him, Vice President Kashim Shettima and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. He has consequently slashed expenditure of all official travels (domestic and international) by 60 per cent, a move which Presidency insiders said is meant to reflect the economic realities on ground.
A Presidency communication seen by News Express this Tuesday afternoon, January 9, 2024, said that under the new austerity regime, official delegations will be composed as follows:
●FOREIGN TRIPS:
•President – 20 persons
•Vice President – 5 persons
•First Lady – 5 persons
●LOCAL TRIPS
•President – 25 persons.
•Vice President – 15 persons.
•First Lady – 10 persons.
