Chief George Moghalu, a former national auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially joined the Labour Party (LP), just a month after leaving the APC.
Moghalu, who also served as the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority, made the switch in preparation for the upcoming by-election in the Anambra South Senatorial district. The seat was previously held by the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.
Moghalu was welcomed into the LP by ward executives in Uruagu, Nnewi, located in Nnewi North Local Government Area, on Tuesday, October 1. During the event, he filled out the Labour Party membership form and received his membership card, officially confirming his entry into the party as he plans to contest for the senatorial position.
