Blogger Linda Ikeji may have taken her blogging too far with her recent post on an image famous Nollywood actress Funke Akindele placed on her instagram page.
In the post written on Sunday January 25, 2015, Ikeji alleged Akindele was referring to the recent rumoured break up between actress Toyin Aimakhu and her husband, Adeniyi Johnson. “Did Funke Akindele shade Toyin Aimakhu last night?” she wrote on her blog.

In a letter dated 25th of January 2015, Akindele’s lawyers demanded an apology from Ikeji as they condemned in strong terms her post on the actress. According to the statement, Ikeji was mischievous with her post by ascribing a harmless picture Akindele put up on her instagram page to be a mockery of the alleged separation between her colleague, Aimakhu and her husband.
According to the letter, Ikeji did not only portray the Funke Akindele’s brand in bad light as it tried to promote unhealthy rivalry where there was none. Meanwhile, as a law abiding citizen and well-loved by all and sundry, Akindele, through her lawyers, had on same day, Sunday, January 25, 2015, via email, written a letter to Linda demanding a retraction and apology within 24 hours or face action within the ambit of law.
However, Ikeji was not available for comment when The Luxury Reporter contacted her. She is yet to reply to our direct message on Twitter. (The Luxury Reporter)
