Abujav – Igwe Dennis Ezebuilo, the Ogbodudu second of Amanuke Kingdom, Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra, says there was the need to support President Muhammadu Buhari in his quest to develop the country.
He stated this at an occasion organised by members of Amanuke Kingdom resident in Abuja on Thursday night to celebrate Brig._Gen. Charles Ekulide who was recently promoted by President Buhari.
Ezebuilo while expressing happiness on the promotion said it was recognition on the people of his kingdom and the South-East generally.
According to him, the president has remembered Amanuke Kingdom by honouring one of its sons.
He charged members of his kingdom and Nigerians generally, to continue to support the Buhari-led administration to enable it deliver on its campaign promises.
He also enjoined Ekulide and the people of Amanuke kingdom to remain steadfast in the Lord, saying that it was the sure way to good success.
Also speaking, Bishop Angus Benson of Angus Benson World Mission, advised people of the kingdom to continue serving God.
He maintained that God was all knowing, and was there to do good things and honour those that serve him diligently.
“If men have rejected you, just get strong with your God and He will surely honour you and take you to your desired destiny.
“He will course men to move on your behalf and bring you favour, “ the clergy said.
He encouraged the newly promoted Ekulide to remain strong in God, adding that the platform for greater glory had been set for him by the promotion.
He, however, warned Christian faithful against disputing one another rather, they should pray for strength and intelligence for the Nigerian Military.
The clergy also prayed for good health and wisdom for President Buhari to enable him do that which God had destined him to do for the country.
Mr Chikwe Udensi, chief host of the occasion while expressing gratitude to President Buhari for the honour, prayed God to give Ekulide the strength to excel in his new position.
He charged him to use his new position to work in the fear of God and in the interest of the nation and mankind.
