The Tragic death of three sisters, who ostensibly drowned in a river has thrown the Amaeze village of Ishiagu community of Ebonyi State into deep mourning, as they contemplate what could have brought such a disaster to them.
The deceased between the ages of 14 and 20, all students of Comprehensive Secondary School Ishiagu drowned in a river in circumstance yet to be ascertained, as they were said to have been found floating on the water.
Their bodies have however been recovered and have reportedly been buried beside the stream without caskets, in compliance with the culture and tradition of Amaeze village, which required no formal burial for such victims.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ivo Divisional Police Post, Mr. Nwornu Daniel confirmed the incident and he said it was a case of sudden and unnatural death.
