Similarly, market capitalisation rose by N148 billion or 1.34 per cent to close at N11.152 trillion compared to N11.004 trillion recorded on Monday.
Nestle maintained its price leadership to top the gainers’ table by N65 to close at N925 per share.
Forte Oil followed it with a gain of N18.10 to close at N202.65 while Mobil Oil gained N7.58 to close at N161.50 per share.
Nigerian Breweries chalked up N7.47 to close at N156.89 while 7UP enhanced its value by N6.75 to close at N141.75 per share.
Seplat topped the losers’ chart, shedding N26.76 to close at N508.53 per share.
Dangote Cement trailed with a loss of N8.95 to close at N170.16 while Flour Mill declined by N2.91 to close at N55.42 per share.
Champion lost N1.07 to close at N9.94, while Portpaint lost 41k to close at N482 per share.
NAN reports that the volume of shares traded dropped by 42.82 per cent with 280.70 million shares worth N3.74 billion traded in 5,118 deals.
This was against the 490. 89 million shares valued at N6.99 billion exchanged in 5,470 on Monday.
Diamond Bank emerged the most traded stock with 36.18 million shares worth N210.69 million traded in 118 deals.
FBN Holdings followed it with 34.18 million shares valued at N357.77 million traded in 795 deals, while GTBank exchanged 31.98 million shares worth N785.51 million in 400 deals. (NAN
