Sundiata Post – Meanwhile, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle are all set to make moves to strengthen their squads this month too as they bid for a strong end to the season.
Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip from the last 24 hours:
Kalvin Phillip’s move to Newcastle is ‘on a knife edge’ despite the Magpies holding early talks with Man City, with Eddie Howe’s side likely to make signings towards the end of the window.
West Ham are set to reignite their interest in Wolves defender Max Kilman, despite the player only signing a new deal at Molineux in August. David Moyes is a huge admirer and had the player on his list in the summer.
Man United and Borussia Dortmund are actively working on a loan deal for outcast Jadon Sancho after being banished from Erik ten Hag’s squad – with the 23-year-old open to return to the Bundesliga outfit.
Chelsea have held talks with Dortmund about letting defender Ian Maatsen join in January and are open to selling him – but are holding out for £30m. The German side, however, are unwilling to pay that price and would rather sign him on loan. (Evening Standard). Meanwhile, the Blues are also ready to let Trevoh Chalobah leave this month after his struggles with fitness after a hamstring problem. The defender will most likely leave on loan with a view to a permanent move.
