Two pastors, Reverend James Kwayang and Reverend Ishaku Chiwar, have been abducted by unknown gunmen in Adamawa State.
The clergymen, who serve at the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa A Nigeria, EYN) in Mbila-Malibu, were kidnapped on Sunday night around 11 p.m. in Song Local Government Area.
The Adamawa State Police Command spokesperson, Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident, stating that officers have been deployed to rescue the victims.
Reverend Daniel Mbaya, President of EYN, expressed concern over the abduction and called on the authorities to secure the pastors’ safe return. “This incident has deeply unsettled the EYN community. We ask for your prayers and support during this challenging time,” he said.
