Prince Isa Ibrahim, Communications Officer, Save the Children, an NGO, announced this in Gusau on Friday.
He spoke at a meeting aimed at reviewing the successes and challenges encountered during implementation of MDGs between 2007 and 2015.
He said: “if the proposal is approved by November, the new programme will take off in January 2016, and last through 2030.

The meeting reviewed the performance of the MDGs in the state and noted that it faced a lot of challenges which led to its dismal performance.
The meeting particularly expressed concern over the poor impact of the MDGs especially in fighting poverty, malnourishment among children, child/maternal mortality, equity/equality, girl-child education, agriculture and potable water.
It also proposed that SDGs should start with stakeholders’ sensitization strategies, summits and plans to ensure that everyone was carried along toward its smooth take-off and implementation. (NAN)
