Abuja – Prof. Michael Adikwu, the Vice-Chancellor, University of Abuja, says the institution’s combined 15th to 20th convocation comes up on Feb. 27, 2016.
Adikwu, who briefed newsmen on Monday in Abuja, said 25, 878 graduands would be awarded certificates on the occasion.
According to him, notable Nigerians will also be conferred with honorary doctorate degrees at the event.
He listed the recipients of honorary awards as former Vice President, Dr Alex Ekwueme and former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Idris Kutigi.
Others are former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Maryam Muktar and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“The main event of the convocation will commence of Friday, Feb. 26 with the pre-convocation lecture to be delivered by a renowned academic and researcher, Prof. Oyewole Tomori, the President, Nigeria Academy of Science.

“20, 461 will be receiving first degrees, 1697 will receive postgraduate diplomas, 2,233 will receive Masters Degree and 331 will be conferred with Doctorate Degrees,’’ he said.
According to Adikwu, the highlight of the convocation will be the investiture of the school’s Chancellor, the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris. (NAN)
