Ibadan – The founder of the One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, on Wednesday warned Nigerian leaders working against national unity to desist “or get consumed by the colossal problems they have created across the country.’’
The sect leader gave the warning at a news conference to mark the 31st anniversary of the group on Wednesday at his Maharaj Ji village in Ibadan.
He said Nigeria deserves to be led by spiritually sound, intellectually profound as well as morally upright and nationalistic men and women.
Maharaj Ji assured Nigerians that there wouldn’t be war in the country, urging them to assist the Federal Government in recovering all stolen money.
He, however, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to tackle the killings by suspected herdsmen and insurgents, saying the development was disturbing.
“President Buhari should look into the allegation made by the esteemed retired General TY Dajuma against security operatives and do the needful to address the issue.
“He should also address the allegations of lop-sidedness in appointments, intensify the anti-corruption war and allow the economic policies of his government to be people-friendly,’’ he added.
Maharaj Ji said the election of the president would be made possible if he could address the issues he raised as a matter of urgency.
He also recommended a reduction in the pump price of petrol to N74 per litre, re-introduction of tollgates and return of marketing boards
