Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Vocal human rights crusader, Aisha Yesufu has called on Nigerians to use the selfishness of Buhari to the advantage of the people, adding that he would not put himself out for anyone to succeed him.
She said that with the new electoral act, the people now more than ever have the upper hand in deciding who gets into office.
Urging Nigerians not squander this opportunity, she charged the electorates to use the selfishness of Buhari to the advantage of the people since it’s a known fact that he would not put himself out for anyone to succeed him.
Aisha who stated this in a series of tweets, reminded that this is the time that the power is in the hands of the people and we are the ones that can make the difference, adding that it comes at a cost.
The tweets read:
“2023 election is not the same as 2015 election. It was 2019 election that was the same as 2015 election.
A President was vying for second term!
It is useless focusing on a failed President who was arrogant and insensitive to the plight of the people even when he needed a 2nd term.
At this moment we should use the selfishness of Buhari to the advantage of the people. He would not put himself out for anyone to succeed him. With the new electoral act, the people now more than ever have the upper hand in deciding who gets into office. Let’s not squander it!
This is the time that the power is in the hands of the people and we are the ones that can make the difference but it comes at a cost. We must put in the work.
We must be ready to be volunteers in campaigns and also donate our money no matter how small..
This is not the time to say only party A or party B that can win election. This is the time to realise that you are the one with the power to decide who wins election.
If you make yourself powerless, the politicians will take the power away from you and continue to lord it over you. If you make yourself powerful, then you can be the one to decide who gets into office and the politicians will fear you.
It is your choice!
If you like keep praying without putting in the work. The politicians that are praying and putting in the work will continue to have the upper hand. Even if those politicians are the devils.
You work for it you get it! You fo nothing, you get enslaved.

For those who expect that we should be shouting & making demands at a President who has failed woefully for 7 years and was deaf to the plight of the people when he needed a second term, I will say to them, that will be like behaving as incompetently as the President has behaved…
2023 election should be about the people realising the power they have now!
With the new electoral act, a selfish President, politicians who are afraid and jostling, an awakened youth, a grudgingly waking up elite, social media, #EndSars mobilisation strength, THE PEOPLE CAN WIN.
