UVURU, Mbaise, Imo State – The Uvuru Ikedinairi community in the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State will hold its maiden political summit on Saturday, 16 April 2022 at Uvuru Town Hall.
According to a statement jointly signed by Robert Nnaji, Director-General, Political Summit Group; Martins Uba Nwamadi, Chairman, Political Summit Group and Mr. Ben Nnaji, President-General, Uvuru Communities Development Union (UCDU) and made available to Sundiata Post, the theme of the summit is ‘Uvuru in the Context of Imo Politics: A Vision for the Future’
The statement said the objective of the political summit is to reappriase and redefine Uvuru community’s political roadmap for sustainable growth.
The event will kick off at 11am but registration of participants begins at 9am, according to the organisers.
The keynote speech will be delivered by Dr. Paddy Njoku, former chairman, Nigerian Examinations Council (NECO), while a panel made up eminent indigenes of the community will discuss the theme and keynote speech. The panelists are Chief Nwabueze Njoku, a veteran Nigerian journalist and founder of Signature TV, Abuja; Chief Austin Onwubiko, a book publisher; Dr Bona Chukwuka, a medical doctor and Mr. Max Amuchie, Founder/CEO, Sundiata Post Media Group, Abuja.
The chairman of the occasion will be Mr. Chukwudi Adiukwu, a legal practitioner.
The political summit is an initiative of the UCDU in partnership with prominent indigenes of Uvuru. Among the partners are Sir Stanley Amuchie, Executive Director, Fidelity Bank; Mr Ugo Amuchie, a 2023 Imo State House of Assembly aspirant; Chief Okey Ujo-Ulokwe, Managing Director/CEO Hutton Trust Int Nig Ltd., Owerri; Prince Stanley Uduhirinwa, CEO, Lisabel Ventures Ltd. and Mr. Kenka Iheanaka.
Others are Mr. Chukwudi Onwuegbueche, Dr. Bona Chukwuka, Sir Linus Nwaiwu, President, Uvuru Platinum Association; Richard Adiele, Sir Okey Ahube, technical adviser to the UCDU President-General; Dr. Edozie Mbalewe and Mr. Ben Nnaji, PG, UCDU.
