Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, was elated on Sunday night in Jos when a Jos entertainer “Joe B” showcased his efforts of sharing school materials for indigent pupils of selected schools in Jos, on behalf of the Nigerian most celebrated musician Davide Adeleke, professionally known as Davido.
Joe B, who responds to Jonathan Godswill as his birth name, had said the gesture was to give back to Davido’s fans who had played his songs over the years without meeting him first hand.
Godswill said most especially for the R&B singer to pencil Plateau State as among the beneficiaries of N250 million donation to orphanages across Nigeria in 2001, is enough motivation for him to embark on giveaway on behalf of Davido.
Responding to the gesture, VDM called Davido on a video call to showcase a branded T-shirt used during the giveaway.
Endorsing the project, VDM said he would support Joe B as long as the project was to impact the indigent amongst the Nigerian society.
Our correspondent reports that VDM was in a Jos night club on Sunday to celebrate with fans.
