LOKOJA – A veteran journalist and the Publisher of Kogi Affairs newspaper, Chief Kola

Toluhi died on Wednesday night in a ghastly accident in Osara Community on the Lokoja -Okene Road. He was aged 52.
His death came as a shock to his colleagues who were with him at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre, Lokoja, earlier on Wednesday.
The late journalist was on the business desk of the Vanguard newspapers in Lagos for years before he resigned to establish his own newspaper in Lokoja.
He is survived by a wife and three children.
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Mr Yomi Awoniyi, was among the early callers on the late journalist’s family.
He expressed shock at the sudden death of Toluhi, who he described as hardworking and an epitome of development journalism.
Awoniyi commiserated with the family, friends and colleagues of the late journalist, and prayed that the Almighty God would give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
Dr David Atte, who received the deputy governor on behalf of the family, thanked him for the visit, saying that death robbed the family of one of its stars.
In a statement, the Chairman of the NUJ, Kogi State Council, Mr Ali Atabor, described Toluhi as a thoroughbred journalist who took his carrier to the peak through hard work and dedication.
He said that the late journalist would be missed by his colleagues.
