Veterinarians say Presidential elections enhaces Nigeria’s credibility

BAUCHI – The Bauchi state chapter of the  Nigeria Veterinary Medicine Association (NVMA), has said the outcome of the March 28 Presidential election will earn Nigeria more respect from the international community.

 

The chairman of the chapter, Dr Alqasim Ibrahim, made the remark in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Bauchi.

 

Ibrahim commended Nigerians for their patriotism during the election and noted that its smooth and transparent conduct was an indication that the country was moving towards multi-party democracy.

 

“With the presidential election, Nigerians have exhibited that they are patriotic and the international community will further place our country and the people in a higher position, unlike before.

“Nigerians should also come out and vote for qualitative and true leaders that have the country at heart during the Saturday gubernatorial election,’’ he said.

 

Ibrahim, who called for continued patriotism, congratulated the President-elect, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) on his victory.(NAN)
