Okitipupa (Ondo State) – Prof. Adekoge Adegbite, the Vice- Chancellor, Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), has urged matriculating students of the institution to be focused throughout their academic pursuit in the institution.
Adegbite stated this on Thursday in
Okitipupa at the 6th matriculation ceremony of OSUSTECH.
He told the 516 matriculating students that they have great role to play in the development process of the country.

“Today as you officially embark on a five- year educational career, I implore you to remain focused, proactive and productive in your academic pursuit.
“There are several tremendous opportunities that will define your university experience and set you on the path of professional and personal development to contribute your own quota to nation building,” he said.
He also advised the students to manage discreetly their new found liberty and independence, adding that they were now assumed to be adults no matter their ages when they gained admission.
The students who signed the matriculation register and matriculation oath told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that they would abide by the laws guiding the school.
They also promised to ensure that they would use their academic talent for the betterment of the country.
Samuel Sowemino of the Department of Industrial Chemistry said he was happy to be admitted into the university, saying that he would pursue his academic goal to an enviable end.
Another student, Dolapo Adigun of the Department of Computer Science said that he would abide by the advice given by the VC.
He said that he would ensure he used computer science to discover technology that can help the country grow. (NAN)
