ENUGU – An unnamed official of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has been seen on camera asking for money before handing out Permanent Voter Cards to their owners.
In the video seen by Sundiata Post, the incident happened at Emene primary school, Enugu East local government area of Enugu State.
From the video, which is currently making the rounds online, the INEC official told the voters that the money was for her transportation to the local government from where they were supposed to pick up their cards.
One of the men that spoke in the video accused the yet to be official of hijacking their PVC with the claim that its in the local government secretariat and asked them to pay her N1,000.
Official of the electoral commission is yet to react to the incident.
