Volume of traded shares grow by 42.95% at Stock Exchange

– Investors at the Nigeria Stock Exchange () on Monday bought 535.076 shares worth N4.37 5,862 deals.

The volume represented an increase 42.95 per cent over the 374.304 shares valued at N3.21 exchanged 4,778 deals on Friday.

The All-Share Index which opened at 42,891.82, dropped by 107.52 points or 0.25 per cent close at 42,784.30 as a result profit taken by investors.

The market capitalisation depreciated by N35 or 0.25 per cent close at N14.127 trillion as against the N14.162 trillion posted on Friday.

Seplat topped the losers’ chart, depreciating by N26.95 close at N675.05 per share.

Forte trailed with a loss N11 to close at N227, while Unilever dipped by N2.63 to close at N50.14 per share.

NCR dropped by 76k to close at N14.44, while Guinness lost 52k to close at N197.5 per share. [eap_ad_2] On the hand, Mobil led the gainers’ chart with N15.83 to close at N170.33 per share.

It was followed by Total which gained N6 to close at N186.20, while PZ Cussons improved by N1.01 to close at N39 per share.

Nigerian Breweries gained 87k to close at N177.09, while CCNN rose by 78k to close at N12.04 per share.

Transcorp was the most active equity with 93.63 shares worth N550.27 .

Wapic Insurance came , accounting for 56.68 million shares valued at N50.42 million, while Sky sold 53.40 million shares worth N186.23 million.
