SOKOTO – Gov. Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State on Thursday presented five vehicles each to the Sokoto State University and the state-owned Orthopaedic Hospital in Wamakko Local Government Area.
Wamakko said at a brief presentation ceremony in Sokoto that the gesture was aimed at facilitating the operations of the university and the hospital.
“These vehicles will go a long way in reducing the transportation problems of the Institution and the hospital.
“They will be useful for the staff, students and patients,’’ Wamakko said, and called for the proper use and maintenance of the vehicles.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Nuhu Yaqoob, who commended the governor for the gesture, promised that the vehicles would be used judiciously. (NAN)
