Wase Mourns Uwajimogu, Says NASS Will Miss His Honest Contributions On Critical National Issues

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Deputy Speaker House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase has mourned the sudden demise of Senator Benjamin Uwajimogu, saying the National Assembly will miss his honest and thoughtful contributions on critical national issues.

Recall that Senator Uwajimogu who represented Imo north senatorial district in the Senate, died on Wednesday.

In a statement issued by the his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, Wase,
described the death of Senator Uwajumogu, as a huge loss.

In his words Wase said, “I’m saddened by the Senator’s sudden death especially because the deceased has been known to be a hardworking and committed lawmaker whose views on key national issues were respected by his colleagues in the Senate.

According to the Deputy Speaker: “late Distinguished Senator Uwajumogu worked very hard in the time he represented Imo north Senatorial District in the Senate and was meticulous. We mourn him because he was a good man true and through. But we are consoled by the undisputed fact that he left his giant footprints in the sands of time which should be emulated.”

He extended sincere condolences to the family left behind, the people of Imo north senatorial district as well as the Senate as a body, reiterating that the late senator’s demise at this point in time is highly regrettable.

Wase prayed to God to give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
