Lagos – Farouk Baba-Inna, the Technical Director, Nigeria Scrabble Federation (NSF) on Friday said a lack of facilities and equipment were the bane of the development of scrabble at the grassroots.
Baba-Inna told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the players most affected, were students, who require such facilities and equipment to develop their skills.
“Scrabble is an indoor game will require the provision of halls with boards, tables and chairs in conductive environment, where coaches can use them to train prospective players,’’ he said.
According to him, the problem facing growth of the game can be address through support from parents and the schools.
