Abuja-The National Working Committee (NWC) of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday said it recognised only the Chief Idowu Faleye-led executive committee of the party in Ekiti state.
This is contained in a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in Abuja.

The party said that the clarification became necessary following enquiries by some critical stakeholders in the state.
It described as illegal, the activities of any other person or group of persons parading as the executive of the party in the state.
It added that the national leadership will no longer condone indiscipline in the party, warning that it would not hesitate to apply strict measures to enforce discipline.
The statement advised members with complaints against the executive in the state to channel such to the NWC “for appropriate action instead of engaging in acts capable of destabilising the party’’.
It noted that the state governor, Ayo Fayose, is a hard working and performing governor and should not be distracted from his focus of delivering on his mandate to the people of the state.
It therefore directed the state chairman of the party and his colleagues in other states, to enforce discipline in their chapters but stressed that the process must be transparent, fair and just.(NAN)
