Dutse – The Jigawa State Government on Thursday said it would not abandon people-oriented projects aimed at improving the lives of residents.
The Deputy Governor of the state , Malam Umar Namadi, said this while briefing newsmen in Dutse.
He said the state government remained committed to improving the lives of the people through provision of potable drinking water, good road network, health care delivery and quality education, among others.
“The administration of Gov. Muhammad Badaru will not abandon any meaningful project that has direct impact to the lives of the people,” he said.
He said Badaru had completed all projects started by the immediate past government because they were beneficial to the people.
Namadi explained that the projects initiated by the past administration took Badaru two years to complete.
The deputy governor said that the only work yet to be completed was the eastern bypass road in Dutse metropolis which he said would be completed soon.
Namadi said all contractors who handled the projects were settled.
