President Joe Biden is doing “100% fine” after he tripped while walking the stairs to board One earlier Friday, White House principal deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said.

Biden stumbled as he climbed the steps, initially appearing to trip, get , then trip a second . He struggled to get the second for a brief moment, before making it , turning to wave at the of the steps before hustling inside.
“So, as you know, it’ pretty windy outside, it’ very windy. I almost fell coming the steps myself,” she said while briefings reporters on the on the way to Atlanta. “He is doing 100% fine.”

Jean-Pierre wouldn’t say if he hurt the foot that recently broken.

“He’ doing great. All I can tell you is he’ doing fine. He’ preparing for the trip today and he is doing just great,” she said in response to a question.
She repeated that he’s doing just fine when asked if Biden got checked out by a doctor.

Dr. Kevin O’Connor, who has been Biden’s care doctor since 2009 and is the director of medicine at The George Washington Medical Faculty Associates, wrote at the that Biden is “a healthy, vigorous” “who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.”
