UYO (Sundiata Post) – A former chairman, House of Representatives of committee on media and public affairs, Eseme Eyiboh, who was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In statement made available to Sundiata Post in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, Eyiboh who was also an executive member of the Akwa Ibom State chapter of the PDP, having held the post of financial secretary, said he was leaving his former party because the vision of the founding members of the party has been abandoned.

According to him, the party is conducting itself in breach of the vision of the founding fathers, adding that instead of being guided by the principle of social justice, it has rather thrown up ‘’economic choristers and social misdemeanours who have converted our common wealth into private franchise.’’[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]

He said he has decided to resign from PDP to enable him contribute to the development of the state and Nigeria.

“I have there taken the hard choice of resignation from PDP and in preference for the platform of the APC where I hope to further my contributions,’’ he said.

The former lawmaker said his decision was based on the availability of character and capacity in the state leadership of the party which according to him is capable of bringing about social capital and new economic order.

He promised to use his vast experience in strategic communication to deepen the growing profile of APC in the state adding that it is important for people of the same mind set to come together and inject a new deal that would promote the interest of the people.
