Abeokuta – The family of the late Chief Simon Adebo, the first Head of Service in the old Western Region, on Tuesday announced the death of its matriarch, Regina.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Regina was the wife of the late Adebo who died on Sept. 30, 1994.
Addressing newsmen at the Adebo’s family house in Abeokuta, the second son of the deceased, Abiodun, said she died on Sunday morning, 11 days to her 95th birthday.
He said that the burial arrangement had been fixed for June 8 and June 9.
The children, he said, would miss their mother, adding that she influenced their lives substantially.
“She was a counsellor to every member of the family, a great Christian and a prayer warrior.
” She was survived by three children, Mrs Olufunmilayo Kiencke, Mr Abiodun Adebo and Dipo Adebo, ” he said. (NAN)
