Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Friday, flagged off the second phase of the Sakpenwa-Bori-Kono road.
The second phase of the road which gets up to Kono is 17.2km long and 22.3m wide road will have 10.65m on each lane with a 2m wide concrete median. It will have 2 bridges, 5 kms of drainage and 1,140 streetlight fittings.
Wike who disclosed this in a statement released via his official twitter handle, informed that the funding of the project is guaranteed as the project is funded by an Irrevocable Standing Payment Order (ISPO) of One Billion Naira Monthly against the state’s account.
He therefore called on the people of the host communities to give CCECC construction Company maximum support, adding that he looks forward to return in 14 months for the commissioning of this very important road.
