Delivering a condolence message at Tombia during the burial of the late Pa Franklin, Governor Wike said: “My wife and I were sad to receive the news about the death of Pa Enoch Albert Franklin, the Father-in-law of the State Head of Service.
“Although Pa Franklin had his last breath at the age of 83, losing a loved one is always a shocking experience. Our hearts and prayers are with the Head of Service, his wife and family “, the governor said.
He said that his death was not only a loss to his immediate family, but to the entire state.
The burial was attended by members of the State Executive Council, Special Advisers and Permanent Secretaries amongst other dignitaries.
In his remarks, the State Head of Service, Mr Rufus Godwins thanked the governor and the leaders of the state for standing by him and his family in their moment of grief.
