He said, if given the mandate, his administration would revive health facilities in the state.
He said that his administration would review the contract for the leasing of government owned Oil Palm Estate, Risonpalm, to ensure that indigenes of Ikwerre local government area benefit from the project.
“We all know that Risonpalm has been sold. When we come to power, we will look into it and bring back our Risonpalm, so that our people can be employed,’’ he said.
Wike also said that the state government owned Airport hotel would be revived to employ the indigenes of Ikwerre local government.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
“It is important for you to know that our government will talk to you and you go. We will fulfil our promises.
“When we told the women that we will pick a woman deputy governor, they thought I was playing. Now, we have done that. This is the only party that believes in women,’’ he said.
The candidate said the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Dr Ipalibo Banigo, was a tested technocrat and former civil servant.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”8″]
“With her, our relationship with civil servants will be cordial. Salaries will be paid as and when due.
“That is why we say, there must be a connection between we and the civil servants, and that is why we brought Dr Banigo,’’ he said.
Earlier, the state PDP Chairman, Chief Felix Obuah, urged Rivers people to vote for the party in next month’s general election.
He said that the party would meet the needs of Rivers people if it wins the election. (NAN)
