Only victory will do for Bosnia’s Miralem Pjanic as the Roma midfielder has declared that the Eagles will not get any shade of a good result against them in Saturday’s Group F contest in the Brazilian city of Cuiaba.
Pjanic while speaking on fifa.com suggested that tonight’s contest against the Eagles is beyond the players alone but a battle that must be won for the millions of Bosnians who are longing to celebrate a debut win at the Mundial.
“We’re raring to go, if we lose it’s over for us, we won’t let that happen,” he said. “We will fight, not just for us but for the country.”
The Eagles, Panic added, were not just African champions by chance. “I`m sure they didn’t play their best against Iran (0-0). The pressure is a bit greater on us, but we are convinced in our strength, we believe we will win tomorrow (Saturday).”
While victory for Nigeria will confirm their place in the Round of 16, defeat for Bosnia will effectively extinguish any hopes of pressing further in their first appearance at the World Cup.
