Former Ghana defender Samuel Kuffour has tagged the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s goalless draw against Iran as the worst game so far of the on-going FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Nigeria dominated possession in the Group F fixture at Arena da Baixada – particularly in the first half – but a disciplined defensive performance from the Iranians ensured the spoils were shared.
But Kuffour, a Champions League winner stated that the Eagles didn’t show up in the encounter.
“They didn’t come to play at all because they restrained themselves to long balls which for me is the worst football so far in the tournament,”
Nigeria’s next fixture is against group leaders Bosnia on Saturday.
