ZARIA – Gov. Muktar Yero of Kaduna State on Monday advised Muslims and Christians to embrace and tolerate one another to guarantee sustainable national growth and development.
The governor said this when he paid the traditional Sallah homage to the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, in Zaria as part of activities to mark the Eid-el-Kabir.
Yero described peace as critical factor for the attainment of sustainable growth and development, hence the need to do everything possible to encourage it.
He said that government had put all necessary measures in place to ensure adequate security of lives and property in the state.
While urging people to give security agencies maximum cooperation, Yero appealed to them to rally round the present administration at all levels to attract more democratic dividends.
