Yuguda dissolves boards of parastatal agencies, sacks D-Gs

BAUCHI – Gov. Isa Yuguda of Bauchi on dissolved the boards of 20 parastatals agencies and equally disengaged 33 directors-general, a statement said.

According to the statement, the affected establishments are the state’s Muslim and Christian Pilgrims Welfare Boards, Consultative Council, Bauchi Radio Corporation, Bauchi State Television and Bauchi State Water Board.

Also on the list are Bauchi Board, Bauchi State Library Board, Bauchi State Agricultural Supply Company, Bauchi State Tourism Board, Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency and Bauchi State Hotels Board.

Others are Yankari Transport Corporation, Bauchi State Sports Council, Poverty Alleviation Agency, Bauchi Fertiliser Company, Bauchi Meat Factory and Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi.

The rest are College of Education, Azare, and A.D. Rufa’i College of Legal and Islamic Studies, Misau, Interim Supervisory Council and Management of the Yankari Game Reserve.

“Consequently, the governor has ordered that the Management of the Yankari Game Reserve be reverted to the state’s Ministry of Tourism and Culture, ” the statement added.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the governor, on April 28, terminated the appointments of all special advisers, special assistants, special assistants and personal assistants. (NAN)
