LAGOS (Sundiata Post) – Nollywood actor and traditionalist Yul Edochie has opened up about his thoughts on ageing, wondering why many people are afraid or ashamed of growing older.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Yul, who clocked 43 in January, described ageing as a gift and something to be proud of, not feared.
He said getting older comes with a deeper understanding of life and expressed joy over embracing his current age.
He stated:
“Sometimes I wonder why people are ashamed of getting older. Getting older is a blessing, and it’s beautiful cos you understand life better as you get older. This my 43 dey sweet me die. I don’t want to be a day younger for any reason.”
Encouraging those who feel they’ve fallen behind in life, the actor offered words of comfort and motivation, urging them to remain content and patient.
“If you feel you haven’t achieved much at your age, relax. There’s no hurry in life, and nobody has it all. Be content with what you have at any stage in your life,” he added.
