Kaduna- A Christian leader has urged traders to cut down prices of goods to enable citizens to celebrate Christmas and New year with joy and happiness.
Pastor Yohana Buru of Christ Evangelical Intercessary Fellowship Ministry in Kaduna made the call on Sunday, saying that in spite of the shortage of money in circulation, prices of goods and services had increased.
He said that the increase in prices of goods made it difficult for people to shop for the Christmas season.
Buru urged marketers to offer Christmas bonanzas and cut down prices to enable more people to buy what they required during the festive period.
He urged security agencies to beef up surveillance at places of worship, parks and places of social gatherings.
He also called on the people to be at alert and report any suspicious movement around them for prompt action by security personnel. (NAN)
