Gusau – The Zamfara Government has donated N12.5 million to the families of the victims of last Saturday’s road crash in Talata Mafara town, Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of the state.
Gov. Abdulaziz Yari also donated 320 bags of assorted food items to the families while condoling with them in Talata-Mafara town on Monday and said the gesture was from the state government.
The governor described the incident as a “big test” to the families from the Almighty God.
No fewer than 10 persons from the Limantawa family died in the accident on their way to Nasarawa town of Nasarawa State for a wedding on Dec. 15.
Five other persons who sustained various degrees of injuries are currently receiving treatment in hospitals.
The governor prayed God to grant the families the fortitude to bear the loss.
Yari was accompanied by the Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Sanusi Rikiji and the state Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Lawal M-Liman, among others.
