Gusau- The Zamfara State Zakat and Endowment Board on Wednesday shared N4.08 million among more than 500 less privileged people as Zakat.
Alhaji Liman Dan’Alhaji, the Executive Chairman of the board, said at the event in Gusau that collection of Zakat by the board was in compliance with Islamic norms, which required the rich to assist the poor.
He noted that Zakat distribution was an annually event.

“The money collected this year is more than the amount collected in previous years, and we decided to share to the beneficiaries including the deaf, blind, crippled and some Islamic scholars, who received between N10,000 and N20,000.
